Women exercising thier bodies at a Christian center
While these women are exercising their bodies, it's their souls that are hard at work. They meet every Monday evening at a Christian center in Maryland for an aerobics class called Gospel Fitness. And if exhaustion creeps in between sets of crunches they fight it off with praise for God and thoughts of Jesus, sometimes even the devil.

The burning and the kicking, the more we push and the more we scream, that's what helps us get through it." More than one in three black women in the United States is obese, a number that is much higher than the national average.T
