Rio is hosting an exhibit in honor of the legendary Yves Saint Laurent. Fifty of the stylist’s best creations will be on display, as well as sketches, fashion show photos and personal items.
An exhibition dedicated to Yves Saint Laurent
An exhibit celebrating the life’s work of Yves Saint Laurent has this cultural center in Rio de Janeiro swimming in haute couture. And it’s title, “Extraordinary Voyages” evokes some of the French designer’s inspirations over the decades, namely the energy his imagination has gleaned from the cultures of China, India and Africa.
Visitors only peruse original designs in exhibition
The retrospective covers 40 years.worth of work by one of the biggest names in 20th century fashion. Visitors can peruse fifty original designs, as well as sketches, photos, documentaries, and even greeting cards Saint Laurent’s sent to his closest friends.

This collection is so subtle and refined. It’s very unique. This celebration of fashion is part of Brazil’s year of French Culture. And it takes place almost a year after Saint Laurent himself died last June
