Disney Pixar's 3D film "Up" will kick off the 62nd Cannes festival on Wednesday as stars and cinema buffs from around the world descend on the French Riviera for the annual movie love-in.
The first 3D film selected for an opening night
Jahn Lasseter, "I'm really really proud to have our film to be the first animated film and the first 3D film to be an opening night selection. Because I love animation. I think it is an amazing art form."

"Jonas is such a great guy to work with. You were able to attract this amazing crew of people, even before we had much of a concept, people were like, "well, I don't really know what the concept is, but all right, I'll sign on", and I think that was thanks to Jonas and the great crew you assembled." "It was fun. Pixar is just so full of talented people everyday, it gets better every day it's like the first day at school every day at work. It's a fun place."
