#Videocrux - Arrest warrant against Sudanese president affects Doctors Without Borders(MSF). Arrest warrant against Sudanese president affects Doctors Without Borders(MSF).
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) says that the 300,000 to 400,000 people it cares for in Darfur will be left without any medical assistance following Sudan's decision to expel the aid group. AFPTV talks to MSF France President Marie-Pierre Allie. Dr. Marie-Pierre Alliné, president, Doctors Without Borders, France, "Given the number of non-governmental organisations expelled from Sudan, the population has now been put in a position of extreme precarity. MSF, both the French and Dutch sections, provide health care to these people. Elementary health care, but also hospital care, birth deliveries, surgery. And this population is going to be deprived of this care because there are simply no other organisations based there." Dr. Marie-Pierre Alliné, president, Doctors Without Borders France, "It is very clear that the moment at which this decision was taken coincides with the issue of the arrest warrant against the Sudanese president. This is clearly a reactionary measure. But it is completely absurd that it is affecting organisations like our own. MSF is an independent organisation. We have always been very clear with regard to our attitude on the International Criminal Court. We do not cooperate with this institution."
