Lack of 'real politics' dooms Haiti
"There isn't any real politics in our country. Politics in our country is taking the money and putting it into a bank account, putting it in their pockets and running off." says Pierre-Francis Junior a camp resident.
Spuriously built houses made quake worse
"We built badly. We built huge, huge houses above smaller ones. And we didn't build according to regulations. It's better in Chile, where they respect everything." says an Haiti resident.
January 12 quake is a lesson learnt for Haiti
"The way we built our houses wasn't seismic, so the difference is very clear." says Markens Lelièvre, 29, camp resident and municipal worker
Some Haitians just blame fate for disaster
"God is all-knowing and all-seeing. He attacked the entire planet. And if he hit Haiti harder, maybe it's because Haiti was out of place, or was mismanaging its situation." says Emile Dorante, 35 - camp resident
