Protests in Iran will continue - Amnesty International Reports of protests across Tehran on the 31st anniversary of the Iranian revolution. AFPTV speaks to Amnesty International who say the government's opposition will continue to protest despite the threat of violence and arrests.
Northern Tehran experiencing worst unrest Drewery Dyke, Iran expert, Amnesty International says "Scores of protests are taking place alongside, mixed in with, the 7 official routes which the authorities have permitted to go ahead. Some of the worst reports of unrest that we're receiving come from western Tehran, north of Azadi square."
"Reports of unrest in Iran are sketchy" "Reports are very very sketchy. It is very very difficult to get any confirmed information, in fact very little of what we've received has been confirmed. Other reports come from different areas of the city where there's been sporadic incidents of unrest." says Drewery Dyke.
Protests will continue irrespective of arrests Drewery Dyke, Iran expert, Amnesty International says "I regret we will probably see these demonstrations continue. Irrespective of how many people are arrested. Once again we've seen scores of arrests take place in the lead up to these demonstrations today."
