People in Florida trying to help Haiti victims Haitians in the United States are following developments back in their homeland closely. Many are trying to find ways to offer assistance to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. One of the largest communities of Haitians in the US is in Central Florida. AFPTV reports from Orlando on how people there are responding to the crisis.

Haitians around the world contribute resources Michel Dorcean - Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Orlando says "There is more than four to five million people throughout the world in the diaspora, and that is a very strong number. And this diaspora - it is time for them to get together and pick up the plate and help out."
Haitian consulate to coordinate relief efforts Laurent Prosper, Consul and Head of Mission - Haitian Consulate, Orlando says "This is a time that we need all the help from the friends of Haiti to come together - the communities to come together and assist us, because this is going to take a very long time."
