Officials want to develop more domestic sporting leagues, and use them as a platform to bring sports to the public. Deng Yaping, China's four-time Olympic table tennis champion and International Olympic Committee member says that they want to bring sponsors to get more people involved in professional sports.
Large scale preperations for Olympic 2012
With a massive infrastructure in place which has billions of dollars in funding, the next batch of Olympians still looks likely to be state-sponsored.And they will all be trying to get China to top the gold medal tally again in London 2012.
